I heard the ocean laughing,
when no one else was listening,
somewhere deep inside
your soft waves breaking.

I saw you fall to your knees
and roll into shore,
crashing in and cracking up,
catching your breath in between jokes.

And the jokes kept coming
as the sun kept tickling your glassy skin
like fingers of children,
relentless and silly.

From somewhere deep
in my watery-being, I laughed,
as I felt the sun tickle my shoreline body.

Like the ocean
on a play date
with the Infinite.
